Celebrating a Family
The story of the Richmonds in America began on Saturday, November 26, 1904 when Harry and Esther and their daughter Anne arrived at Ellis Island, NY on the HMS Baltic from Liverpool, England.
This site has been created with one eye on the past and the other on the future. All of those who came to America and the three sons born between 1905 and 1909 are gone, but all but one of Harry and Ester's Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren survive.
While Harrys' and Esthers' Grandchildren are still here, it is time to bring back to life the world that they experienced and through the stories told to them by their parents and Grandparents. This site is dedicated partially to the memory of Harry and Esther Richmond and their children: Anne, George, Saul and Babe. It is dedicated with equal weight and emotion to the youngest generation of the family and the family members yet to be born.
Let those who experienced the early days reflect on what they saw and felt so that they may share their memories with those who follow are to follow. A person without a history is a person without a future.
